Amy, thank you so much for your comment on my site. Chipotles in adobo sauce are sold in a jar, I got the goya one in the same section where all the other goya label products were displayed. I’ve never had the Whole Foods quesadillas but if the sauce is chipotle, it’s most likely that it contains the chipotles in adobo sauce in it. Please let me know if you ever find out!
Ingredients says: Adobo Sauce (tomatoes, water, dried ancho peppers, yellow onions, expeller pressed canola oil, dark chili powder, cumin, oregano, kosher salt, cayenne pepper, black pepper.
WISKGEEK offers a simple recipe, add some spices(chili powder, cumin, oregano, cayenne pepper, salt & pepper) and you should have something similar.
